The letters of the alphabet are written within a square perimeter. The red segment joins the letters R - E - D, the blue joins the letter B- L - U (blue). The image is thus organized according to an arbitary program because the words "red" and "blu" only share the same number of letters. There is a relationship, however, between word and colored sign: thus in the words red and blu, as in the red and blue segments, the two colors are expressed verbally or visually. Their visual polarity and complementarity is expressed. It is postulated and implicit that the name of the color evokes its visual image: and this gave rise to the non-objectivity (or the subjectivity) of the color, since in other languages the colors have other names. That angular and triangular relationship of red and blue is thus subordinated to the association and combination of two codes: one verbal and one visual.
