Pencil signed and dated; printed by George C. Miller on GCM watermarked wove.
Janet Flint, in her catalogue raisonne of Lozowick's prints writes, page 148: "In creating Dead End Lozowick may have had Sidney Kingsley's play of the same title in mind. The setting for the play is said to have been the dock off East Fifty-third St. which, in the thirties, offered dramatic contrasts between the luxurious River House and the surrounding slums." A difficult and timely image.
