For a brief time in the late 1950s, Lichtenstein was a latecomer to the abstract expressionist style. This is visible in his last two prints of that decade. Both were made for 'Polemic,' a literary-art journal published by the student council at Adelbert College, Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.(Mary Lee Corlett)
