Petermann (102) knew only of impressions signed by Lehmbruck's widow Anita, and the impression reproduced in the catalogue raisonné was printed from the damaged plate.
Petermann observes (p. XII) that Lehmbruck's drypoint engraving is so delicate that only three or four truly outstanding impressions could be printed from each plate. This is one of those impressions.
