THE UNIQUE IMPRESSION ON JAPANESE TISSUE, WITH HUGE MARGINS, OF WILLIAM KENTRIDGE'S FIRST MULTIPLE PRINT.
Sources assert that about 5 impressions of this print were printed on mulberry paper and another 5 on newsprint. This impression, however, is on extremely fine Japanese laid paper (or "tissue"). Most sources also give the date 1976, but Kentridge in fact executed the print in 1975.
A perfect, radiant impression, with huge margins.
Signed by the artist (in May, 2013, when he was in London to meet his first grandchild).
UNIQUE AND IMPORTANT.
This print comes from the collection of one of the earliest collectors of Kentridge's work, who recognized the artist's importance long before he became famous.
