Notes: In the mid 90’s David Hockney was besotted with his miniature Daschunds, Stanley and Boodge. They inspired a number of tender paintings and drawings including this lovely sketch of the dear departed Little Boodge. In 1995 Hockney illustrated a callender for which the monthly plates illustrated his dogs. This favourite one of his was made into a larger print
