Collotype with pochoir in white. Published by Guy Spitzer in 300 copies numbered and signed in black ink.. Unfortunately the ink used when signing and numbering has faded away on almost all copies - including this copy. However the original label from Guy Spitzer verso - which has been partly trimmed away gives the name of Chagall, the title and confirms, that this copy has originally been signed and numbered 273 out of 300,followed by initials in ink -probably GS. To the right of the label is written in blue ink the inventory no G 3159. Furthermore the composition has the blindstamp of the publisher in lower right corner. The margins have some small paper losses along the paperedges and the margins are yellowed by time. Most important however : The colours are fresh and strong - the red horse is not faded (as is sometimes the case) and the blue nuances in the houses are strong and vibrant.
