The grill has a radial pattern. The background is pink, the rays pale green. In the center a gray square is superimposed. From the four corners of the basic square extend luminous bands which, as they approach the internal square, appear yellow.
As in the previous image, the theme of the study is the complementarity of the colors (red and green): the artist desires to show that this complementarity is not a natural fact, depending on the light, but is a structure by means of which the human mind gives an order to luminous phenomena, adapts them to its logic. It should be noted that, whereas in the previous image the perturbation is traumatic, here it is captivating: in perception the psychological factor, favorable or unfavorable, is always important.
